Kwara Bakers’ Election: Ayilara Emerges New Chair

The Chief Executive Officer of Ayilara Bakery, Alhaji Muyideen Ayilara has been declared chairman of the Association of Master Bakers and Caterers of Nigeria, Kwara State chapter defeating three other contestants.

Ayilara was declared winner in the election conducted today in Ilorin, Kwara State, by the electoral chairman, Asimiyu Raji, after polling the highest votes of 42 to defeat the incumbent chairman, Alhaji Fatai Akano of Alaba bread who had just 3 votes.

In a peaceful and well participated election, Alhaji Sheu Baba Oyo scored 10 votes while Alhaji Saka Garuba had 9 votes.

Ayilara, while speaking with our Correspondent, Kayode Adeoti, appreciated God for his victory saying the style of imposing just anyone on the association has ended promising to bring new innovations that will aide the progress of the association and also ensure everyone is carried along in the formulation of his policies.

He added that he will serve the association wholeheartedly to ensure he reconcils the aggrieved members back to the association while also appealing to those who have stopped eating bread because of the high cost to have a rethink.

He however appealed to the government to look into the cost of materials for the bread production stressing that some of his colleagues in the business have winded up for lack of money to procure materials for the bread production.
