Akeweje Olayinka Fafoluyi has announced plans to provide ₦10,000 cash support for another 250 widows and elderly people in Ipetu/Rore/Aran-Orin Ward of Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.

Announcing the Aran-Orin Town Hall as the venue of the cash distribution, Akeweje said the beneficiaries will be selected regardless of religious or political affiliation, reflecting his commitment to inclusiveness and grassroots development.

Recall that Akeweje recently kicked off the ₦10,000 cash support initiative for widows and elderly people during a meeting with stakeholders in Oro Ward 2.

The cash support programme, which Akeweje said would be extended to about 800 widows and elderly people across Irepodun Constituency, is aimed at sustaining the Owo Arugbo initiative of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq through the Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP).

Speaking further, Akeweje reaffirmed his commitment to supporting vulnerable members of society, noting that the initiative was inspired by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s passion for humanitarian service and community welfare across Kwara State.
