This evening, I inspected the ongoing dredging of the Asa River as part of our unceasing efforts to prevent flooding and loss of lives and properties.
This is in addition to the desilting of drainages and numerous media campaigns we have mounted to educate the public on the intensity of rainfall this year, the threat of flooding, and the danger associated with blocking waterways under any guise.
I call on residents of Kwara State to join hands with the government to ensure free flow of water and prevent flooding that may threaten lives or human sustenance in any part of our state.
