An All Progressives Congress’ (APC) aspirants for Isin Local Government Chairmanship, Mr. Bolujoko Samuel Ifeoluwa has rolled out his agenda and how he plans to execute them if he eventually get into office.
In an exclusive chat with the Ijara-Isin born politician, he highlighted five major points as his agenda whic must be looked into for a progressive local government.
Below are the Five Points Agenda and explanation on the execution for the growth of not only Isin Local Government Area but Kwara State at large.
“Government Restrategised Agro based Programme: For every government, there is a beauty attached. Continuity of policies is one of the hallmark of full achievement of policies. It is of note that the government of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq invested much on agro market policies. We are of a larger view of creating a more expansive community based agric environment at the local level where farming as an occupation will bring a lot to the local government. This will make input closer to market and market closer to the people. We will also encourage creation of Agro market to serve as a preliminary market for those agro product.
“Youth Empowerment: In enhancing the good work of the Governor who focuses mostly on youth establishment with various KWASSIP Programme. We also intend to introduce Local Youth Empowerment funds. This will alleviate poverty from the grassroots. The support system in addition will be in collaboration with state programmes and international organization. I am an entrepreneur who grows from grass to grace and want to raise people like me to as well be self independent.
“Entrepreneural Reform. This will boost the level of enterprise at the local level. I am coming to encourage entrepreneurship’s orientation and application in the mindset of our people in the local government.
“Until we work on partnership programme between public and private enterprise in boosting our revenue generation, the citizens may not improve. One of the famous agro product in Isin generally is cashew nuts. But it’s unfortunate that no processing industry for this precious product. We are coming to introduce the Private Public Cashew Processing Industry. Creating middle men consultancy for our citizen to earn a living, and this will increase the value of the cashew nut in the hands of our farmers.
“Personnel Reform Initiative. This ideology marries a concept of government inclusiveness. It helps to encourage local and indigenous works, encourage local contractors, and encourage every faithful, deligent and trustworthy citizens of the local government” he highlighted.
