I thank Almighty Allah who has given me the grace and enablement to serve the people of Ilorin East Constituency and Kwara State at large for a period of four years in the 9th Kwara State House of Assembly
I want to express my sincere appreciation to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for supporting me and my colleagues in the House to have achieved a lot in the past four years. Your Excellency sir, I have learnt a lot from your leadership qualities and realized you are the best for our state at a time like this.
Your success in Kwara earned you the Chairman of the most powerful forum in our country, Nigerian Governors’Forum and I am confident in your ability that your tenure shall be the best in the history of the forum. Thank you very much sir for what you do for our state.
My appreciation also goes to my constituents for the confidence reposed on me to be your representative, I do not take this for granted and I promise to continue serving humanity even as I approach the next challenge of life. May God Almighty always be with you all and sustain the glory of our constituency.
I must specially salute the Speaker of the Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Salihu Danladi, the man whose skill in presiding over the affairs of the House and keeping lawmakers together as one to achieve the common goal, is second to none. It is a great opportunity for me personally Mr. Speaker to have served under your leadership and I enjoined every bit of it from the beginning till the end.
I thank my Honorable Colleagues in the 9th Assembly, it was so beautiful and plesant working together in the legislative duty of our state, I wish those returning in the 10th Assembly a successful republic and wish all of us not returning all the best in the future.
To my supporters and aides who have toiled tirelessly with me during my time in the state Assembly, I thank you all most sincerely for your service. I want you to know that the roles you play in keeping this institution running are crucial to achieving the kind of constituency and state we desire. I urge you to please take pride in performing those roles credibly at all times.
This piece of mine won’t be complete if I don’t recognize the efforts of the career officers in the House under the able leadership of the Clerk, Hajia Halimah Jummai Kperogi. Your weath of experience and versatility have lessened our burden in the parliamentry work and I say a big thank you to all of you.
The 9th House of Assembly has ended, and the 10th will shortly be convened, I have long believed that the ultimate end of all political and governance efforts must be to achieve measurable improvements in the lives of the people on whose behalf we hold office.
I am glad that I used my term in office to serve my people and improve the standard of Ilorin East Constituency, with this, I am fulfilled and I return all the glory to Almighty Allah.
