Community laud President Tinubu on NOA DG appointment

The people of Maya Ile-Apa Ward of Ilorin East Local Government area of Kwara state have hailed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the appointment of the new Director-General of National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu.

The communities under this ward expressed their appreciation in a statement signed by the duo of Chairman and Secretary of Maya-Ile-Apa Community Development Association, Engineer Yahya Folorunsho Abdullahi and Sikirullahi Olatunji respectively.

The statement reads, “We are using this medium to show our appreciation to Commander-in-Chief of the Armed forces, The President of the federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing our son, Lanre Issa-Onilu as the new Director-General of National Orientation Agency.”

The association noted that the appointment of Lanre Issa-Onilu is an attestation to the excellence of the Tinubu-led administration, describing it as a round peg in a round hole.

They said “As much as this is an attestation to the capacity of the appointee, it further portrays the stride for excellence that this administration is on because this appointment is a round peg in a round hole.”

While extending their gratitude to the Kwara state Governor, they appealed to the Governor to remind him of his promise of adding to the dividends of democracy the area has been enjoying, particularly the major roads linking the entire communities in the ward together.

They said, “We also want to extend our appreciation to the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his support for our son and his overall effort to transform the entire State.

“Our community want to appeal to the listening Governor to come to our aid in respect to the road that leads into our community which is currently in a deplorable state and almost inaccessible to motorists putting a chokehold on the economy and livelihood of the community.

Also joined in this appreciation are the community leaders in the area; Baale Maya, Alhaji SaaduDEEN Akanji Ayelade; the Alanguas of Ile-Apa and Lajiki, Alhaji Saliu Mawobe and Alhaji Soliu Oloruntoyin Kareem, respectively. Both Chairman and Secretary of the Board of Trustees of the Association, Alhaji Yahya Abdulwahab Olore and Alhaji Saka Okoeleha respectively, also lend their voices in appreciating the gesture of Mr President and support by the State Governor.

They however urge the appointee to make good use of the opportunity by giving his best to the responsibility and be a good representative of the community.
