Scores of decampees from the Peoples Progressives Party (PDP) today paid a visit to the Kwara State House of Assembly Leader, Hon. Abdulkadir Oba Mogaji.
Among these decampees are former commissioners, former SAs and other big political office holders in the past administration.
Speaking on behalf of others, Alhaji Hassan Gegele thanked Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his leadership style, saying “he (AbdulRazaq) is the leader we believe in”.
Alhaji Gegele said the purpose of the meeting is to show their unalloyed support and loyalty to the governor and reaffirm their belief in his leadership style.
He said since they made the bold step of joining the progressives early this year, they have never regretted for once as every sector in the state is progressing rapidly.
He also made a clarification, saying they didn’t join the party because of any politician but because of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq who is the only leader of the party.
“To set the record straight, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is the only leader we know and his progressive leadership style attracted us into the party and not any other politician,
“We should never be tagged to any other politician but Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq who is doing wonderfully well as the governor of our beloved state” he said.
He also thanked the lawmaker for keying into the agenda of the governor by doing so much for his people in just few months in office.
In his reaction, Hon. Oba Mogaji who is the member representing Ilorin Central (Mogaji/Ngeri) Constituency in the state 9th Assembly said he was very glad to host the loyalists of the governor across Kwara, affirming emphatically that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is the sole leader of the party.
He said Kwara is experiencing good leadership and massive infrastructural development under Governor AbdulRazaq, vowing that the government will continue to do her best for Kwarans to keep on enjoying the best.
