The Kogi New Media Association has congratulated winner of Kogi 2023 governorship election, Alhaji Usman Ododo and his running mate, Comrade Joel Oyibo on their victory during November 11 poll.
The Association which is the Umbrella body of New Media Practitioners in a statement issued by its Chairman and Publisher of NewsMag, Rowland ‘Shuwa on Saturday described victory Usman Ododo as a watershed in political history of Kogi State.
They noted that the All Progressives Congress candidate had votes across 21 local government areas and three Senatorial districts despite tribal sentimental campaign by some candidates.
Kogi New Media Association said the outcome of Kogi 2023 gubernatorial election was an endorsement and vote of confidence for the New Direction Administration led by His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello.
They used the opportunity to commend Kogites for conducting themselves in a peaceful manner during and after November 11 poll, noting that it’s another prove to wide acceptability of Ododo/Oyibo candidacy.
The Media Group therefore charged Kogi Governor-elect to consolidate on achievements of Yahaya Bello administration and fulfill his campaign promises.
