… seeks locally improved security outfits
The Olota of Odo Owa in Oke-Ero Local Government Area of Kwara State, His Royal Highness, Oba Joshua Adeyemi Adimula has congratulated Christians in the state on the Easter celebration.

Olota, in a statement made available to the press today, says Easter period is holy and Christians must leverage on it to seek God’s face for better Nigeria and Kwara State most particularly.
He appealed that people should pray for those in public offices rather than condeming or cursing them advocating for religious tolerance among all worshippers in the State.
He also urged government of Kwara State to look into empowering the local security outfit like vigilante and others as a way of curbing kidnapping and other criminal activities particularly at the grassroots.
He noted that recent security challenges in the state have shown that police alone cannot do it urging government’s support and collaboration with hunters, vigilante and other local outfits.
“It’s a great thing seeing this period again, it’s an holy month which must be dedicated to seeking God’s face for our land, there must be improvement in our living standards. Government needs us now than ever, our politicians need us now, we need to seek God’s face for them over how they lead us and stop condemning or cursing them.
“I join the Christian community, especially in Nigeria, in celebrating Easter – the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. This great occasion brings to an end the Christian Lenten season of fasting, prayers, and almsgiving and ushers us into the season of glory and victory over death.
