In an effort to improve on the educational system and also put smiles on the faces of the people, a philanthropist and a leading aspirant for the Chairmanship in Ilorin West Local Government, Hon. Makanjuola Yahaya Lanre Darosa has donated items worth millions of naira across pupils in the council and motorcyclists.
From 2019, Darosa, who’s popular for his extravagant gesture has embarked on the exercise in order to give back to the society and also help parents who are not financially buoyant.
Darosa donated thousands of exercise books to schools across Ilorin West and motorcycles popularly called Okada to people in the area
Among the school that benefited from the gesture is Ansarul Islam School A and B and other schools in the Ilorin West Area.
His philosophic gesture has continued to spark positive reactions among members of the community particularly the political players who insists he must be chosen to lead the council.
Even as the primaries for the election begins, there has been clamour from different quarters that the vibrant and resourceful Darosa should take the lead.
Meanwhile, political zoning arrangement has favoured him considering the ward and constituency he represents.
