
Nigerians have been charged to rejoice and give thanks to God Almighty even at this period of economic hardship as all factors bedeveling the nation will soon be a thing of the past.
Rev’d Dr. James Olawuyi of the Nigerian Baptist Convention stated this yesterday at the 48th edition of the Carols on the Rock held at Olaolu Hospital with the theme “Joy to the world the King is come”.
The Cleric urged Christians never to relent in praying for the country, saying with purposeful prayers of the saints, the glorious days are near.
Rev’d Dr. James encouraged the people to always take solace in the birth of Jesus Christ which has brought peace, salvation and redemption to mankind.
The pastor then declared that unlimited miracles would unfold in the lives of the people, saying, “Just as the conception of Jesus brought astonishing wonder to the world, so too will your miracles be a source of awe and amazement’.”
He noted that, there is no good reason for bad behavior, explaining that the birth of Jesus Christ brought grace and redemption to mankind and available to all who will tap into it.
He charged Nigerians especially those in power to shun corruption and greed adding that the Nation is blessed and have enough resources to take care of the people.
The colorful event was filled with uplifting music, as the host choir, directed by Dr. S.O Awesu ministered a range of inspiring songs that stirred the souls of all participants.
In his vote of thanks, the host who doubles as the Medical Director of Olaolu Hospital, Dr. Sam Oloruntoba expressed heartfelt gratitude to God Almighty for the success of the programme.
He also extended sincere appreciation to all participants including the audience for their invaluable contributions.
