Ramadan/Lent: Lafia Grace Foundation Distributes Food Items to Christians, Muslims in Ijara-Isin

…”It’s an unexpected miracle” – Beneficiaries

In the spirit of Ramadan and Lent, the Lafia Grace Foundation for Women and Youth Empowerment has distributed 200 bags of food items to Christians and Muslims in Ijara-Isin, Isin Local Government Area of Kwara State.

This initiative specifically targeted vulnerable individuals, including widows, widowers, and the elderly, providing much-needed relief during this sacred period. Beyond addressing immediate needs, the gesture aimed to foster unity, love, and understanding between Christians and Muslims in the community.

Each bag contained essential food staples such as rice, garri, semo, spaghetti, and other household necessities. The distribution was carried out at various places of worship in Ijara-Isin, including Ijara-Isin Central Mosque, First Baptist Church, Ijara-Isin, 2nd ECWA Church, Ijara-Isin and Ore-Ofe Baptist Church, Ijara-Isin.

Religious leaders, including Rev. Olawoore of First Baptist Church, Rev. Gbenro of Ore-Ofe Baptist Church, Rev. Samson Titiloye of 2nd ECWA Church, and the Chief Imam, Alhaji Mufutau Jimoh, expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the foundation for its generosity.

In their remarks, they offered prayers for the foundation’s continued success, asking for divine blessings, protection, and prosperity for its members. They also prayed that the organization’s humanitarian efforts would continue to expand, reaching even more people in need.

Speaking on behalf of the community and beneficiaries, Deaconess Grace Lola Aboyeji expressed deep gratitude to the donors. Though not a direct recipient, she described the initiative as “an unexpected miracle,” thanking the Lafia Grace Foundation for its kindness and support.

The Lafia Grace Foundation for Women and Youth Empowerment under the Leadership of Grace Adebukola Abogunrin remains committed to initiatives that enhance living standards, raise public health awareness, and provide essential medical and food assistance to communities in need.
