I, Honourable Abolarin Ganiyu Gabriel, the lawmaker representing Ekiti Constituency in the Kwara State House of Assembly, extend my deepest and most sincere appreciation to you for your unwavering commitment to the safety and security of our nation, particularly in ensuring the swift release of the 38 Eruku worshippers abducted in the recent attack on Christ Apostolic Church, Eruku, Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State.
Your prompt intervention, Mr. President, demonstrates your resolute dedication to protecting the lives of Nigerians and upholding the fundamental human rights of every citizen. The cancellation of your scheduled trip to the G20 Meeting in South Africa to attend to the security breaches in Kwara and Kebbi States underscores your unyielding resolve to address the security challenges facing our nation.
I also wish to express my profound gratitude to the ever responsible and responsive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq, CON, for his tireless efforts in ensuring the safe release of the abductees. Your leadership and commitment to the welfare of Kwarans are truly commendable, sir.
Furthermore, I appreciate the Office of the National Security Adviser, the military hierarchy, and all security agencies involved in the rescue mission for their professionalism and dedication to duty. Your collaborative efforts have brought joy and relief to the families of the abductees and the entire Ekiti community.
I also acknowledge the role of religious bodies and other stakeholders who worked tirelessly to secure the release of the abductees. Your prayers, support, and advocacy have been invaluable.
To the 38 Eruku worshippers, I congratulate you on your safe release. Your ordeal has ended, and it is time to reunite with your loved ones and rebuild your lives. May this experience strengthen your faith and resolve to continue serving our Lord and Creator.
To the families of the abductees, I share in your joy and relief. Your patience, prayers, and perseverance have paid off. May the Almighty God comfort and bless you all.
To the residents of Ekiti Constituency, I assure you of an improved security presence in our communities. We will work tirelessly with the government and security agencies to ensure that our people are safe and secure.
