From holding the record of national champion in school debate at multiple times, Team Kwara has emerged triumphant again on the international stage.
Our public school students who represented Nigeria at the 2025 Asia Parliamentary International Debate Competition (Junior Secondary School Category) in Malaysia won the prestigious championship that had 16 countries across Asia, Africa, and Europe as participants.
I’m very excited at this huge feat that has again placed Nigeria on the global map for academic excellence and scholarship. I commend our champions for their outstanding performance, brilliance and resilience. They have brought honour and pride to Kwara State and Nigeria, and we’re so grateful to them.
This win — and the previous ones — demonstrates clearly that our investment in basic education is making the right impact. We are encouraged to do more for our learners and the entire education sector in the state.
I thank the Kwara SUBEB team ably led by Prof. Sheu Raheem Adaramaja, the coaches, and all other stakeholders, who have been key pillars of support in driving our vision for a reformed basic education in the state.
