Arandun — Prince Lekan Adewoye has pledged to run an accessible and accountable administration, promising to remain present and responsive to the needs of the people he serves.
In a statement released Wednesday, Adewoye said leadership should go beyond titles and positions. “Leadership, to me, is not about occupying a position or enjoying a title. It is about showing up, listening, and responding to the needs of the people at all times,” he said.
He stressed that constituents deserve a representative who is “present, approachable, and committed to real engagement,” rather than one who is distant or disconnected.
Adewoye also made accountability a central pillar of his proposed leadership style. He said every promise would be tracked, every action would be open to scrutiny, and every decision would be guided by the collective interest of the people.
“Governance should be transparent and inclusive, where the people are not only informed but actively involved in shaping outcomes that affect their lives,” he added.
To close the gap between citizens and their representative, Adewoye said he would maintain open communication channels and create platforms for regular interaction to ensure that voices are heard and respected.
“Together, we will build a leadership culture rooted in trust, responsibility, and shared progress,” he concluded.
