Our attention has been drawn to false and misleading rumours being circulated in certain quarters claiming that Prince Lekan Adewoye has stepped down from the APC Kwara South Senatorial primary race.
We wish to categorically state that this information is entirely false, unfounded, and the handiwork of individuals unsettled by the growing acceptance, strength, and momentum of Prince Adewoye’s aspiration across Kwara South.
Prince Lekan Adewoye remains fully in the race and continues to enjoy overwhelming support from stakeholders, party faithful, youths, women groups, and grassroots communities across the senatorial district.
As the leading aspirant in the contest, Prince Adewoye remains focused, confident, and committed to the democratic process and the progressive ideals of the APC. There has been no withdrawal, no step-down arrangement, and no negotiation contrary to the aspiration of the people.
We therefore urge party members and the general public to disregard the rumour entirely and remain focused on the ongoing primary process.
The growing momentum cannot be distracted.
The mission remains alive.
Kwara South deserves purposeful representation.
