The All Progressives Congress (APC), Arandun Ward, Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, has dissociated itself from the reported destruction of campaign posters belonging to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senatorial Candidate in the ward.
The party is concerned by the reported vandalisation of the posters, which were allegedly destroyed barely five days after they were put up.
For the avoidance of doubt, the APC in Arandun Ward has never been involved in such an act and will not condone, encourage or support any form of political vandalism, intimidation or destruction of campaign materials belonging to any candidate or political party.
The APC remains committed to peaceful political engagement and democratic competition. We believe that political differences should be settled through the presentation of ideas, programmes, records and constructive engagement with the electorate, rather than through acts capable of undermining the peaceful conduct of political activities.
We therefore urge all political actors and their supporters to respect the rights of other candidates and political parties to campaign freely and peacefully within the law.
The APC in Arandun Ward remains committed to issue-based politics, peaceful coexistence and the democratic process, and will continue to conduct its activities in accordance with the law and the established principles of the party.

Hon. Kunle Adeyeye
APC Chairman Arandun Ward
