Lauds Isin LG Boss Jolayemi For Ingenuity
Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has commissioned a multimillion-naira, 300-capacity Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre in Owu-Isin, the headquarters of Isin Local Government Area of the state.
The governor also commissioned an in-house restaurant in the town after commissioning a motorised borehole in Edidi.

The commissioner commended the Chairman of Isin Local Government, Hon. Benjamin Lanre Jolayemi, for his ingenuity, saying his initiatives had contributed to the development of the area.

He said students previously had to travel to Ilorin to sit for JAMB examinations, but the new CBT centre would enable them to take the examinations within the local government.
He noted that similar projects can only be done by the federal or state governments, commending Jolayemi for providing the facilities at the local level.
The commissioner urged the people to reciprocate the gesture by supporting the APC governorship candidate, Rt. Hon. Salihu Yakubu Danladi, and other APC candidates.
He described Danladi, from Kwara North, as a project for Kwara South, saying power would come to the southern district after his tenure to promote development across the three senatorial districts.
He said this was the vision of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and claimed it was the reason some political actors were opposing him.
The Commissioner said he had visited Isin several times to commission projects, adding that the footprints of the state government could be seen across the 193 wards of the state.
“We thank Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq because it is only the blind who will say the governor is not performing,” he said.
He added that criticism of the governor on social media amounted to “social media noise,” claiming that communities across the state had benefited immensely from the administration
Bata also urged the people not to vote for PDP candidates, saying the consequences would be felt in the future.
“Let it be rotational so that development can be across board,” he said.
Also speaking, the Olusin of Isanlu-Isin and Chairman of the Isin Traditional Council, Oba Solomon Oloyede, thanked the council chairman for what he described as initiatives that would benefit the people of Isin.
He commended Jolayemi for the CBT centre and cafeteria and recommended him for higher responsibility.
He said these projects have liberated the people of Isin saying they would never go back to the dark old days of the PDP.
In his remarks, the Chairman of Isin Local Government, Hon. Jolayemi, thanked God for the opportunity to serve, saying the achievement was possible through His grace.
He said the project demonstrated the freedom given to local government chairmen by the state government to identify and implement projects that meet the needs of their people.
Jolayemi said the CBT centre was particularly important because there was no government-owned CBT centre of its kind in Kwara South apart from the new facility.
He disclosed that JAMB officials had visited the centre from Abuja and certified it, adding that the facility had solar power to provide 24-hour electricity.
“JAMB has given us a code for registration and, as we’re registering, they are monitoring us in Abuja,” he said.
On the cafeteria, he mentioned that Isin residents can now enjoy snacks and fast food without traveling far, as the restaurant will conveniently provide the Isin communities with quality and diverse cuisine.
He thanked the governor for giving the local government the freedom to choose projects that best serve the people.
