Adewoye ‘ll Drive Industrial Growth, Job Creation in Kwara South – Babatunde Opoola

The Chairman of the Basic Metal, Iron and Steel Sectoral Group of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Prince Olalekan Adewoye, has been a strong voice in advancing local content, sustainable industrial growth and job creation for Nigerian youths.

Adewoye, who is the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial candidate for Kwara South in the 2027 general election, is widely regarded as a champion of industrial development, having used his position at MAN to push for policies that support local manufacturing, steel development, and youth employment.

Speaking on the aspirations of the APC candidate, his Media Aide, Mr. Babatunde Opoola described Adewoye as a credible candidate whose experience in the manufacturing sector positions him to attract federal attention to industrial revitalisation in the district.

Opoola said Adewoye’s candidacy was not a criticism of the incumbent senator, but a call for balance and fairness in the political arrangement of the senatorial district.

“This is not about denying the achievements of the incumbent senator or suggesting that he has not performed well. It is about fairness, equity and the need for balanced political representation.

“Recognising the contributions of one individual should not mean denying another the opportunity to serve. Kwara South deserves a political arrangement that reflects fairness, inclusion and equal opportunity for all its constituent blocs,” he added.
