Engr. Femi Abidoye, the Managing Director of FEMTECH, has praised Mr. John Adewoye, known as Alaroye Kwara, for his remarkable consistency and innovative ideas presented on his Rokeke Radio programme over the past two decades.
Engr. Abidoye made these remarks on Sunday during the premiere of three films, Abisiwin, Talojebi, and Idana to mark the 20th anniversary of the cultural and entertainment programme on radio.
“I have been engaged in business since my school days, but I waited until after graduation to begin advertising. I first listened to Alaroye’s program 18 years ago and reached out to express my desire to advertise on his show, which we commenced shortly thereafter.
“What astonishes me is that, for 18 years, Alaroye has maintained his consistency and has never run out of ideas. Each time one tunes into Radio Kwara for Rokeke, it is a continuous flow of enlightening, educational, and entertaining content that is essential for daily life” FEMTECH said.
He prayed that God grants him more wisdom so that he can continue to enrich families and entertain the audience with his programme.
Additionally, the Olusin of Ijara-Isin, Oba Ajibola Ademola Julius, described Alaroye as a true son of the land who has brought pride to the town through his talents and ideas.
The Olusin, represented by the Baale of Ijara-Isin, High Chief Bamkole, expressed his pride in Alaroye and his belief in the potential for many more meaningful projects from him.
In response, John Adewoye expressed gratitude to God for the successful journey of the past 20 years.
He acknowledged the challenges faced along the way but credited God for sustaining him and establishing the programme as a significant presence among listeners.
He extended his thanks to FEMTECH for his unwavering support and to Alhaji Kayode Aremu, the General Manager of Radio Kwara, for his guidance and contributions to his career.
Adewoye also expressed appreciation to all attendees and supporters of the project.
Tayo Oladebo, known as Mama Kike, Alaroye’s Rokeke partner, thanked God Almighty for the opportunity and expressed gratitude to everyone for their physical and spiritual support.
The event also included the presentation of awards to individuals who have made significant contributions in their respective fields, serving as encouragement for further achievements.
Additionally, gifts such as solar fans and power banks were donated to participants, courtesy of FEMTECH.
