The Kwara State APC Chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi has lauded Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s administration as progressive and pragmatic, highlighting his giant stride in various sectors.

The Chairman made this revelation during an inter-faith prayer session held at the Ekiti Local Government Secretariat.

The event was organized by the Chairman of the local government, Hon. Wale Awelewa to commemorate Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s six years in office.

Prince Fagbemi contrasted the current administration with previous ones, describing the latter as retrogressive and focused on personal gain. “You cannot compare the past administration and the reigning one together, one is progressive and pragmatic about the development of the state, while the other is retrogressive and only after what they can siphon out of the state.”

Fagbemi cited notable advancements in education, healthcare, infrastructure, and workers’ welfare since the administration took office in 2019.

“From the inception of this administration, there have been revolutionary progressive changes in Kwara, government’s impact is evident across all sectors” he said.

He expressed confidence in continued progress, saying, “You cannot stop doing what you know how to do. “Expect better than what’s on ground now, we will continue to progress, he affirmed.

Earlier, the Executive Chairman, Ekiti Local Government, Hon. Wale Awelewa, has explained that the prayer session for Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq was organized to express gratitude for the governor’s impactful leadership.

Awelewa commended the governor’s contributions to Kwara State, particularly Ekiti Local Government, where according to him, development projects have been implemented across all 10 wards and 22 communities of the local government.

“We can see the hand of our executive governor in every part of Ekiti Local Government,” Awelewa said.

He noted that his administration as the Chairman is following the governor’s lead, initiating projects in every ward within seven months in office.

“We are trying our best to replicate the governor’s development agenda at the local level,” he added.

Also, the lawmaker representing Ekiti Constituency at the state House of Assembly, Hon. Abolarin Ganiyu Gabriel appreciated the Governor’s leadership and developmental projects since he assumed office.

According to him, Governor AbdulRahman’s administration is the best since the time of democracy in Kwara State.

He said, “Since the time of democracy, we’ve not had it fine like this in the state, our Governor has done nothing less than five projects in each ward of the state.

“He allowed lawmakers to facilitate lots of projects to his or her Constituency. This is what we all leverage on to better the lives of our people in our various communities.

The event brought together party leaders, pastors, imams, and traditional rulers, who prayed for the governor’s continued success and protection.
