.as Rushdullah As-Solihiyyah Islamic Foundation Holds Tefsir Quran
A lecturer at Muhammed Kamaldeen University, Ilorin, and founder of Rushdullah As-Solihiyyah Islamic Foundation, Dr AbdulRasheed Ahmed Yusuf Alatari, has called on Muslims to uphold the principles and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W), stressing that Islam does not condone violence or inhumane practices.
Speaking at the Tefsir Quran session organised by Rushdullah As-Solihiyyah Islamic Foundation at Government Day Secondary School, Adewole, Ilorin, Dr Alatari highlighted the importance of honesty, integrity, and the fear of Allah in daily life.
He warned against deceit, exploitation, and harm to fellow humans, stating that such actions attract Allah’s wrath.
He further urged Muslims to remain steadfast in their faith, despite life’s challenges, and to seek strength through prayer and devotion to Allah.
The university don emphasised that Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) endured numerous trials yet never resorted to harming others.
He cautioned against straying from the teachings of the Quran and the Sunnah, which serve as the foundation of a righteous life.
Dr Alatari expressed concern that many Muslim children lack a deep understanding of prayer, often seeing it as a mere ritual rather than an act of spiritual connection.
He stressed the need for proper Islamic education and parental guidance in instilling religious and moral values.
He urged parents to raise their children with a strong foundation in both Islamic and Western education, ensuring they grow into God-fearing individuals.
Addressing the rise in societal ills, Dr Alatari reminded Muslims that Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) never endorsed acts of violence, including killing or selling human parts.
He warned that anyone engaging in such atrocities would face severe consequences in both this life and the Hereafter.
He concluded by reaffirming that true help and guidance come only from Allah, urging Muslims to uphold righteousness and follow the path of the Prophet.
