Governor AbdulRazaq was elected on Monday in Tangier, Morocco, on the sidelines of the United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) World Congress, alongside four Regional Vice Presidents for Central Africa, North Africa, East Africa, and Southern Africa.

Barrister Aderibigbe, who spoke on behalf of Kwara Advancement Forum, explained that the mandate of the Forum of Regions/States of Africa is to accelerate socio-economic development, deepen decentralisation and devolution, and position subnational governments as key drivers of continental integration and sustainable development.

Governor AbdulRazaq will be supported in this mission by the Regional Vice-Presidents: Central Africa: Mr. Ousmanou Oumarou (Association of Regions of Cameroon); North Africa: Ms. Mbarka Bouaida (Association of Regions of Morocco); East Africa: Mr. Peter Anyang’ Nyong’o (Kisumu County, Kenya); Southern Africa: Mr. Panyaza Lesufi (Gauteng Province, South Africa).

He prayed for divine wisdom, strength and vigour for Governor Abdulrazaq to have a successful and impactful tenure as he leads FORAF to achieve her aims and objectives within Africa.

He added that Engineer Danladi’s immense contributions to the success of the AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led administration, which has witnessed unprecedented infrastructural development across the State, played a significant role in his emergence.

The Legal Luminary described Engineer Yakubu Danladi as a person that is upright, level-headed, purpose-driven, result-oriented, reliable, amiable, unassuming, courageous, and deeply committed to the unity, progress, and development of Kwara State.
