“…it’s a welcome development” -Olomu
His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdulraheem Oladele Adeoti, the Olomu of Omu-Aran, has commended the Commissioner of Police in Kwara State, CP Adekimi Ojo, and the Nigeria Police Force for siting a Police Clinic in Omu-Aran.
Oba Adeoti described the project as a welcome development, noting that Omu-Aran, with its growing population, deserves more health facilities and expressed happiness that the police have made it happen.
“It is a pleasure for Omu-Aran to have another hospital. The town deserves more hospitals as if the police know our plans. We are glad for this laudable project and may God continue to bless the Force,” the monarch said.
The Olomu noted that good health remains the foundation for enjoying the luxuries of life, thanking the police for choosing Omu-Aran for the facility.
“We know you well and you have been doing absolutely well in this state and you can only leave Kwara based on promotion,” he told the CP.
The traditional ruler added that the community is still expecting higher police facilities, such as a Police College and others, in Omu-Aran town.
In his response, CP Adekimi Ojo thanked the Olomu for initiating the project before donating it to the police, revealing that the monarch has even donated additional plots of land for the expansion of the hospital.
The Commissioner said the priority of the police is to save lives, stressing that the hospital will not demand a police report before treating patients as the service is not limited to police personnel alone.
He attributed 90 percent of the police successes in Omu-Aran to the support of the people and described the Police Hospital, Omu-Aran, as one of the best in the state, thanking the community for providing a large expanse of land for the project.
The CP, together with the Olomu and the Olomu in Council, proceeded to commission the project for the use of the people.
