Court Jails PDP Stalwart, Esinrogunjo

The Kwara State High Court today convicted and sentenced Comrade Musbau Esinrogunjo, a Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to nine months imprisonment.

Presided over by Justice E.B Muhammed, the court delivered its judgment against Esinrogunjo following a trial that extended over a period of three years and three months.

Esinrogunjo was found guilty and sentenced for disturbing public peace and for obstructing a police officer in the execution of his lawful duties.

According to the judgement, he was sentence to three months imprisonment, without option of fine, for obstructing a public officer on duty, one Sergeant James.

Additionally, he was sentenced to six months imprisonment for disturbing public peace, although with the option of a two thousand naira fine.

The prosecution presented four witnesses, including the police officer who was impeded by the convict, before concluding the case.
